Company History

HAS BEANS was originally established in 1976 in downtown San Francisco. After 18 years of tradition in the Bay Area, the present owners relocated the company to Mt. Shasta. Here it rapidly became THE favorite spot for the local coffee connoisseurs. In February 1997, HAS BEANS opened a new location in Old Town Eureka. The Eureka shop is located on Second Street and I, between The Carson Mansion and the Downtown square overlooking the harbor. In early 1998, they opened their first drive-thru in Weed, California. An easy access drive-thru off of I-5 at the south Weed exit. Just before the beginning of the new millennium they opened their fourth location in down town Chico. The Chico store follows in the foot steps of the previous cafes, offering a Galleria and Internet Access.

Besides serving good, fresh roasted coffee, teas and a variety of great candies and chocolates, the Mt Shasta location and the Eureka location has their own bakery on the premises.

They also have added 'CyberRooms' to their locations. Becoming the first 'Cyber Cafes' in both Siskiyou and Humboldt Counties and adding their name to the list of 500 plus 'Cyber Cafes' from around the world. These 'CyberRooms' provide Free Local Area Information. Public access Internet surfing is available by the hour.

In addition to serving Siskiyou, Butte and Humboldt County, their coffee and tea products are being served in a large variety of Cafes, Restaurants and other establishments in San Francisco, along the West Coast and throughout the United States. HAS BEANS offers daily fresh roasted coffees from around the world and a large variety of teas, loose or bagged. Besides retail and wholesale coffee beans and teas, they feature an espresso bar, fresh pastries baked right on the premises, candy, chocolate and coffee/tea accessories.

HAS BEANS coffee is "Dry" roasted in a French traditional way to preserve taste, size and overall appearance of the coffee bean. For the trade, HAS BEANS offers various programs including Espresso equipment rentals, custom blends and packaging.

The retail shop is open every day in Mount Shasta from 5:30AM until 8:00PM. Chico location is open from 5.30 AM until 12 Midnight. In Eureka, they are open every day from 6:00AM until 7:00PM.
